More about our Jive dance classes
We recognise that each student will progress at their own speed and are ready to patiently coach and encourage you with an emphasis on enjoying the journey that you are on. Dancers who intend to stretch themselves will be supported too. And we offer many great social dance events for you: it's another way to expand your social circle and to get that valuable practice time.
We ask every student to be aware of their limitations and fitness level and to dance within their physical limitations. We want you to cross the fun threshold not the pain threshold. Most of our students don't want to work physically hard. If exercise is one of your major motivations then we can give you tips on how to put extra energy into your dancing and how to ease back when you want to.
Nobody begins dancing as a skilled dancer. Our public classes prepare you for having fun by getting you "social dance ready" rather than competition ready. You can expect to improve your balance and spatial awareness as well of your general fitness. There are many reasons why people get hooked on the benefits of social dancing. And if you your friends and family are impressed by your new skills then that is a bonus.
